Most shower-filter marketing hides behind “stages” and vague “certified” badges. ZOOSHEN started because the buying decision should not require a chemistry degree — or a tolerance for exaggeration. We publish what each filtration media actually removes, what it does not, and how to verify a certification.

How we test and what we publish
Every product page follows the same structure: a plain-language quick answer, a spec table taken from the actual build sheet, an honest “what it doesn’t do” section, and a link to the standard behind each claim. We would rather show a limitation than win a sale on a vague promise.

Our shower-filtration claims are anchored to NSF/ANSI 177 — the shower-specific standard covering chlorine reduction, material safety and structural integrity. We explain exactly what it does and does not cover in our NSF/ANSI 177 explainer, and we never present it as a softening or PFAS-removal certification.
