What does NSF/ANSI 177 certify?
Chlorine reduction for shower systems, plus material safety and structural integrity. It does not certify softening or removal of lead or PFAS.
Do ZOOSHEN filters soften water?
No. They reduce chlorine and certain contaminants; they do not remove hardness (calcium and magnesium) and contain no salt or ion-exchange. Pair the filter with a separate softener for hard water.
How often should I replace the cartridge?
Most households: every 3–6 months, or when you notice the chlorine smell returning. Heavy-use or high-chlorine areas: every 3 months.
